Loving-kindness meditation and mindfulness meditation serve different purposes and can complement each other. While mindfulness meditation focuses on being present and aware of one's thoughts and feelings without judgment, loving-kindness meditation cultivates feelings of compassion and goodwill towards oneself and others.
